DESCRIPTION:Walk to school to commemorate school integration, and the courage of then-six-year-old Ruby Bridges, the first to integrate her school in 1960 and become the face of a movement.\nBrought to us by a group of elementary schoolers in South San Francisco who took their idea to the state legislature, this day is meant as an annual day of dialogue to commemorate Ruby’s historic steps and to fight racism and all forms of bullying.\n
