DESCRIPTION:\nThis meeting will take place in person in the Main Conference Room at NMBLC – Hybrid Zoom option is available but we hope to see you in person! \n\n\n\nThe Reckoning Circle: What We Must Face About Homelessness, Housing, and Human Dignity  \n\n\n\nWhat do we do when people say no? \n\n\n\nOpen Circle Format\n\n\n\nWe will frame the conversation with a challenging & realistic scenario. \n\n\n\nWe’ll use an open circle format where everyone — guest speakers, residents, service providers, business owners, advocates, and community members — sits facing one another as equals.\n\n\n\nGuest speakers will present a short response to the scenario then invite Uplift participants to present questions and discussion points to dive deeper into the response. \n\n\n\nInvited guest speakers include individuals from the following organizations, including community members: \n\n\n\n– The American Civil Liberties Union of NM (ACLU NM)\n\n\n\n– City of Albuquerque Department of Health, Housing & Homelessness (CABQ HHH)\n\n\n\n– The Homelessness Union \n\n\n\n– The NM Coalition to End Homelessness (NMCEH)\n\n\n\n– The Albuquerque Police Department (APD)\n\n\n\n– Daymon B.
