New Mexico Black Lawyer’s Association will hold a screening of the short film “Back to Blackdom.” This 15-minute documentary shares the remarkable story of Blackdom, New Mexico, a thriving all-Black community established by African American homesteaders in the early 20th century.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Director Zoë Colfax and doctoral candidate Carlyn Pinkins.
