Get informed – attend an Albuquerque City Council forum and get ready to cast your vote on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.
The November election is right around the corner. Civic engagement and political power begin with the local scene. One of the things you’ll be voting on this year, depending on your district, is your next City Councilor. The New Mexico Black Leadership Council (NMBLC) is bringing you the scoop on our local elections, starting with City Council. Several Albuquerque City Council forums are happening in September.
City Council seats are up for election in four districts this year: District 2, roughly the north and southwest part of Albuquerque, including Downtown and the North Valley; District 4, covering the Northeast Heights; District 6, encompassing the International District and Southeast Heights; and District 8, encompassing the Tanoan Country Club, north of Menaul and east to the foothills.
