True NM Sawubona+ Exhibition art opening
Did you miss it? Or wanna see it again? Now’s your chance to peep these exciting works of art by the 2024 True NM cohort: 12 Black and AAPINH New Mexicans sharing their True New Mexican lives through their art.
Eight of the 12 youth artists will be present, plus four mentor artists. As a special bonus, True NM alum and singer-songwriter Kai Warrior will perform!

This FREE youth cultural leadership event will focus on empowering African American / Black students and all students committed to becoming strong allies. PATH Emerging Scholars Program Application Due Date
PATH Emerging Scholars Program is a one-week (June 11-20, 2025) program at UNM for current high-school freshmen through juniors. The program focuses on African American and other underserved youth, inspiring them to pursue STEAM-H careers and lead in healthcare and health research. $500 stipend upon completion of the program.
