Additional Mental Health Resources

BLHF

The Boris Lawrence Hensen Foundation provides culturally relevant resources, programs, and education. They’re fighting for mental health support in urban schools, reduced prison recidivism, and an increased number of African-American therapists. This foundation wants you to find your joy over everything. Their many resources provide a fresh new path toward a mentally healthier community.

Licensed, trained, experienced, and accredited psychologists (Ph.D. / PsyD), marriage and family therapists (LMFT), clinical social workers (LCSWs / LMSWs), and board-certified professional counselors (LPCs) are available at BetterHelp. The goal is to make professional therapy accessible, affordable, and convenient — so anyone can get help whenever and wherever they need it.

Talkspace is an online therapy service. Forget schedule conflicts and leaving your home to meet with mental health professionals. Users can contact a mental health professional at any time when circumstances arise that require attention, without waiting for an appointment to be scheduled. Therapists are matched with users. Medication management is offered, and health insurance support is provided.
