    ¡Flamenco Para Todos! is the end-of-semester student showcase of the Conservatory of Flamenco Arts. This event is FREE to all, because Flamenco is meant to be shared para todos—with everyone!

    Bring your friends and family to experience the beauty, passion, and spirit of flamenco. Plus balloon sculptures, hands-on activities, face painting, a photo booth, food trucks, and more for a great time for all! No fee or tickets, just come!

    SOMOS Festival 2025: A Love Letter to Albuquerque

    See the National Hispanic Cultural Center transformed into a place where music, creativity, and culture collide in a kaleidoscope of color, movement, sound and connection. The day will bring large-scale art installations, hands-on activities, performances, and interactive experiences that invite all ages to create, play, and explore. (And eat and shop!) Then as the sun sets, prepare to dance the night away!

    $50 advance tickets (March 22 – May 9), $60 Day of Show (May 10), Children 12 years old and younger free with the purchase of an adult ticket, and $130 VIP Pass. 50% discount for students – use your .edu address for purchase, and enter the code SOMOSSTUDENTS at checkout. Make sure to bring your student ID with you to the event, as it will be checked at the entrance!

    1st Annual Luminito Celebration

    Do you call them “Luminaria” or “Farolitos”? Either way, come celebrate this beloved New Mexico tradition with festive lights, Matachine dancers, refreshments, food trucks, and a flashlight storywalk. And the world’s tallest (20 feet!) “Luminito.”

    All this fun is free! (And outdoors, so dress for the weather.) Registration for planning purposes is encouraged, but not required.

    1-2:30 pm: FAMILY ART WORKSHOP – Shoebox Parade Float

    All ages are invited to make a mini parade float to present during the DJ party with Mario Ybarra Jr. afterward.

    2-4 pm: COMMUNITY GATHERING – Mario Ybarra Jr.: Nuevo Complexican

    Shake off the week with a Día de los Muertos celebration featuring Mario Ybarra Jr., an acclaimed Los Angeles-based artist and culture worker. Dance to old-school R&B records and enjoy local food trucks, music, community art making, and more!

    5-8 pm: CONVERSATION & FILM – Sterlin Harjo & Cannupa Hanska Luger 

    Award-winning 2024 MacArthur Foundation Fellow Seminole/Muscogee filmmaker Sterlin Harjo (Reservation Dogs) will introduce a screening of his Indigenous artist-focused documentary film, Love and Fury. Then there will be a live audience recording of the Broken Boxes podcast series Long Con, an ongoing conversation between Harjo and artist Cannupa Hanska Luger.
