The Letter from Birmingham Jail helped to inspire the enactment of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Chris Ulloa Chaves, ED.D. of the University of New Mexico and member presents a 90-minute discussion of the Letter from Birmingham Jail. Bring an open, respectful attitude and desire to learn from all participants’ knowledge and experience.

Free Our Flowers opening reception
Don’t miss this exhibit of photos celebrating the beauty, resilience, and liberation of Black men and boys. Robert Washington-Vaughns, Executive Director of the Black Men Flower Project, amplifies the voices of Black men and boys and creates spaces where they can be seen, heard, and cared for.

MonÁxi free concert
Prepare yourself for a unique concert experience that will cleanse you and allow you to reset your vibration. MonÁxi’s name means “Daughter of the Earth” in the Kimbundo dialect. Her music, a unique combination of soulful vocals and rhythms from the Djembé drum, is deeply grounded in her Angolan Motherland.
