  • Story Riders Youth Mountain Bike Rides

    Story Riders Youth Mountain Bike Rides

    Are you a BIPOC youth between the ages of 9 and 18? Can you ride a bike? Spend a day on a bike ride in the Juan Tomas Open Space in the Manzano Mountains. Session 1 is on Friday, August 18th from 4:30pm to 6:00pm and  Saturday, August 19th from 9am to 4pm. Session 2 is on Friday, August 25th and Saturday, August 26th. You must attend both Friday and Saturday portions of your session.

    Story Riders will provide transportation, bicycles, and a meal for the ride. because they believe that every youth deserves an opportunity to go mountain bike riding! Story Riders is a cycling program for youth that teaches cycling safety, basic bicycle mechanics, and incorporates place-based learning.     Students meet at Casa Barelas (1024 4th St. SW 87102) on both days. Day 1 is prep. Day 2 is the ride. Register HERE.
