    Black Men Who Own It

    Gather to discuss the positive contributions African American men make in their families, businesses, communities, and every field of endeavor!

    In the Comcast Digital Media Studio at WESST, experience impactful speakers and practical information, and discuss championing support for black men. Honor the contributions of Black men throughout the generations, and be inspired by tales of resourcefulness, resilience, and leadership.

    Afro Beats Jams and Appetizers immediately after the discussion panel. Please arrive no later than 4:45pm. Register here.

  • Roots Summer Leadership Academy

    Roots Summer Leadership Academy

    Have fun, build community, and learn leadership skills at the 2023 NMBLC Roots Leadership Academy! Classes include Dance, Theater, STEM, Music, Visual Arts, and Social/Emotional Learning. Also included are field trips, performances, and caregiver workshops! Registration open until June 30 for kids 8 to 16. Don’t miss the summer fun! Final performance and celebratory luncheon on July 28 at 11:30 am.

    Breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided to students daily. Transportation will be provided from the International District. Mandatory Parent/Caregiver Orientation is Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 4pm.
