    You’ll find parking inside the First Unitarian Church lot at the corner of Carlisle and Comanche.

    ROOTS Summer Leadership Camp

    We are so excited to offer our signature positive youth development program again in 2024! It’s going to be another great year at RSLA.

     

    This free three-week program features field trips, performances, STEM activities, and tons of opportunities for self-exploration, leadership development, and FUN! Plus, it includes before- and aftercare, breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

    NDI NM Annual Gala: Dream Big!

    Join National Dance Institute of NM for its annual gala and fundraiser in the big tent! This year is the institute’s 30th birthday, so the event will be extra-special, with 500 school children from Albuquerque and the surrounding areas in a highly energetic musical theater performance.

     

    Dream Big! will explore NDI students’ aspirations and dreams, dreamers who have changed the world, and dreams for our communities. The performance will be followed by a seated dinner, drinks, dancing, and live entertainment.

    Build Cultural Understanding, Leadership, and Allyship – the “U” in community – at APS’s 2024 African American Student Empowerment Summit! Build cultural knowledge, develop skills around being a strong ally, learn about and celebrate African American culture and history, and build community understanding and networks. Keynote by Brennan Bowman.

    Join the Whittier community as families meet, eat, and share activities and homework!

    Start in the library for a presentation on Whittier’s Positive Behavior Support plan, then move to the cafeteria to enjoy a pasta-and-cheesecake dinner (prepared by Highland high school students) and make 2024 a vision board.
