What do I need to register?
To register as a new voter or to update your registration online, your personal information must match the information on file with the New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division (MVD).
Social security number
Social security numbers are used by the state to verify your identity. Numbers are not recorded or retained.
Driver license or state ID
If you’re registering for the first time and applying by mail, you must submit a copy of an acceptable ID.
Your date of birth
You must be 18 years or older at the time of the next election in order to register to vote.
