An ensemble of Black actors presents August Wilson’s play Jitney, about a group of rides-for-hire “jitney” drivers in the Hill district of Pittsburgh, where white drivers will not venture. The drivers grapple with the specter of Vietnam, family and community conflict, addiction, and racism.

I saw a notice about this today on the Facebook pages of Donna Lynne Owens and Cate Stetson. It also included a play date of Sunday June 30 at 2pm. Otherwise the flyer was the same, leaving off “Dr. NE” after “310 San Pedro”.
Nothing about the performers. Is this the cast that was at the Vortex in March? They were great!
How do we get the word out?
