Anele is a High School senior with a passion for all things creative. Anele has been involved in varying theater productions since age 12, the most current projects being directing a production of the stageplay Bocon, directing a one-act play for the New Mexico State One Act Competition which received the State Runner-Up Award, and playing the role of Anthony in Sweeney Todd. Anele is also involved in choral and operatic singing, currently working as an apprentice for the Santa Fe Opera with plans to study Music Therapy in College.
Jasmine “Jazz” Cuffee is a poetess who is said to have magical powers and will send you on a whimsical journey with a simple word. She is a Slam poet at heart and has represented Albuquerque as home city champ on multiple stages around the country and beyond. She has been published in numerous anthologies and self-published her first chap-book Sunshine and Rapture in 2007. She had the great honor of being the Albuquerque Host City Chair for the 2015 Women of the World Poetry Slam Championship. Community Organizer, Activist, and current USPS employee, Jasmine has a wide range of skills, talents and abilities. She has been called many things throughout her life and the ones she is most proud of are Rabble Rouser, Instigator, Catalyst, and Bruja.
Mekhi Bradford is a 6th-grade student at the Albuquerque Academy. He is a Jr. member of the National Society of Black Engineers, as well a Justice Code student. He enjoys learning about social issues through the All- African People’s Revolution Party (A-APRP). Mekhi aspires to be a writer and a social scientist. He recently had an original speech published in the Renzulli Center Newsletter at the University of Connecticut. When he’s not writing, he enjoys learning to play the guitar.
