Dr. Henry Fowler presents a workshop to raise awareness of Indigenous traditional mathematics knowledge.
Ethnomathematics is the study of the relationship between mathematics and culture, and this workshop will demonstrate how the natural phenomenon of sunlight shining into a Navajo hogan dwelling reveals geometric shapes that, according to the Navajo, indicate the beginning of time.
