    This event is for Black folks/African people/those of African descent/mix or bi-racial with Black/melanated peoples, children, families, adults, and youth.     Explora hosts a special teen summit (ages 13 to 19 welcome!) to recognize the National Day of Racial Healing. Featuring a facilitated panel discussion, Lion Dance, Bouquet Bootcamp, and mural design.

    August 28:  an update from Kristin Charmichael and Estella Swain on the ABQ Homeless Prevention Project.

    July 31: we toured the new Albuquerque Community Safety headquarters and learned about the program.

    “A Decent Home” chronicles what happens to homeowners when their mobile-home parks are snapped up by corporate investors. This displacement, and the struggles that follow, is a growing issue in New Mexico.

    FREE screening in UNM Law Room 2401, followed by a discussion with filmmaker Sara Terry. Can’t make this screening? Check out the South Broadway Cultural Center screening on January 10.
