|

01:00 PM

Valle de Oro Nat'l Wildlife Refuge

Choose your yoga session with Reina Carson: 1:00 – 1:30 or 1:30 – 2:00. Class is beginner-friendly, and yoga mats and water will be provided. Just bring yourself and comfortable clothes!

The classes are part of Valle del Oro’s Environmental Justice Day from 11 am to 2 pm.

Zeta says: “Why this matters: Emphasizing reciprocity between land and people, this yoga promotes mindfulness and sustainable lifestyles, inspiring individuals to advocate for environmental justice and awareness. Yoga, which is of South Asian origin, also provides numerous health benefits to mitigate the health disparities seen in our communities. We have disproportionate exposure to environmental hazards and increased vulnerability to climate change impacts. Recognizing the importance of Black land relations is crucial for addressing systemic inequalities and promoting environmental justice within our communities.
